Hawkesbury-Nepean Charge (Mt. Druitt Congregation)
A ministry to the western suburbs of Sydney was set up in
1977 under the oversight of the St. George's Session, Sydney. The
first service of the new work was held on October 9, 1977 in Harold
Corr Community Centre, Werrington with 20 or so people attending.
In their years of pilgrimage, the congregation worshipped
in rented premises in Werrington, Cambridge Park, Mt. Druitt and
Plumpton until late in 1985 when a 70-year old Anglican Church building
with a hall and adjacent land was purchased in Mt. Druitt Village
at 115 Mt. Druitt Road where they continue to worship.

Sydney South Charge (Bexley North Congregation)
In 1988, a family in the southern suburbs of Sydney and
members of St. George's, Sydney congregation, suggested that an
extension work be started in the southern area. This went through
various committees and a preaching station was set up for six months
with a view to them assessing viability.
The first service commenced on November 6, 1988 in the Bexley Congregational
Church building with 50 or so people attending. This settled down
to about 35. On January 24, 1989, this congregation was sanctioned
as a charge by Presbytery. On February 5 1989, services relocated
to St. David's Uniting Church building in Kingsgrove. When this
building sold, the congregation moved to the Church of Christ building
in Bexley North for a few years until it also sold. They currently
worship in the Kingsgrove-Bexley North Community Centre at 54a Shaw
Street, Bexley North.
